My training

I am licensed by the State of California as a Marriage & Family Therapist. I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling: Marriage, Family, & Child Counseling option and have certifications in Aging Studies and Advanced Domestic Violence Intervention. I am a member in good standing of the following professional associations:

• Clinical Member, American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists
• Clinical Member, California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists
• Clinical Member, The GLBT Psychotherapists Association of the Bay Area

In my work I draw on the theories and techniques of:

• Solution Focused / Brief Therapy
• Systems Theory
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Coaching/Motivational Theory
• Psychodynamic Theory

I complete continuing education courses every year in a variety of relevant topic areas including Law & Ethics, Child Abuse, best practise, and various theories. Further, I continue to seek out trainings and opportunities to increase my experience and expertise.
